Basically, now we wait.
In order for my body to be ready to receive an embryo, I have to wean Charlotte, wean myself from my anti-depressant, and lose about 45 lbs. You know, no big deal. Ha.
I’ll be blogging about each of these in individual posts, as I honestly believe they are all big deals. Be on the lookout for them in the coming weeks! After that, I’ll be updating you weekly on how things are going.
Whitney and I connected again after both of our families had sessions with the fertility counselor, and we have the go ahead to precede. I explained to her my goals that the fertility doctor helped set for me, and we are all agreed that early 2019 is tentatively when we hope to make the transfer happen. Hopefully, everything will go according to plan!
Due to the nature of weaning from my antidepressants and losing weight, I’ll probably blog about a few other things that will seem a bit off topic – like routines, what the heck we’re doing about preschool, nature, my dream of homesteading, etc. They won’t be related to surrogacy, but I honestly believe that health is holistic, and my entire life is involved. Are you interested in any of those particular topics? What are your thoughts?
Rachel, I just found that I could access your blog posts and have read them all. Really interesting! You have some incredibly big goals before you, especially the 45 pounds to be lost by early 2019. Kudos to you on your acceptance of the goals. Your journey should be fascinating to others.
I’m nterested in the homesteading idea. I can certainly spell the word, but I don’t know what you (& Jesse) would do specifically.
